The frailty pathway is located across 2 sites, comprising a 25 bedded assessment unit, 11 bedded ward and a 60 bedded integrated intermediate facility. Within ARI there is the assessment unit and the ward with Rosewell house being the integrated intermediate care facility allowing for patients to step down from ARI and recuperate in a more community focussed facility.
The pathway cares for frail elderly patients that have been admitted with decompensated frailty. The assessment unit allows for the initial assessments to be made with a view to move to the medical ward in ARI or step down to the Hospital at home service or Rosewell house.
We are looking for a Physicians Associate who has experience in working with frail elderly or have an interest in working in this specialty.
