Estates Officer Mechanical (Band 7)
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Estates Department to spearhead our well established mechanical operational team
We are looking for a person who is self-driven, determined and focussed with proven demonstrable and comprehensive all-round mechanical knowledge. Someone who is prepared to take ownership and to be accountable for the complete service delivery package of all mechanical related systems within NHSG.
The position would suit a dynamic, very proactive and resourceful individual who is educated to a minimum of HNC/HND (Degree level preferred) in a mechanical discipline suitable for this role with in-depth, demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
The opportunity is substantively based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary; however, there may be requirements to work across a wide range of NHS Grampian facilities, in-line with service demands.
You will be experienced in the operation and management of Mechanical Systems within a large organisation to include steam & MTHW heating, hot & cold water systems, chilled water & air conditioning, ventilation, gas safety etc. and the management of specialist contractors and directly employed staff.
This is a permanent position and contracted to 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to join our out of hours on call service where overtime and on call payments will be made in addition.
