This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic dentist with an interest in treating children to join our Public Dental Service. We are looking for a team player who is keen to work with other colleagues in Lothian PDS to reduce inequalities in Dental Health.  You should have an interest in treating anxious patients and vulnerable groups including children with additional needs. You will work alongside the Specialist and senior dentists in Paediatric Dentistry in West Lothian and Edinburgh but it will be expected that you would be prepared to travel to any part of Lothian if the service requires. You will partake in the management of children referred by local General Dental Practitioners and other health and social care professionals because their complex needs cannot be managed within general practice.

This would be an ideal appointment for someone wishing to develop their skills in Paediatric Dentistry and for the right candidate there will be opportunities for further training in sedation and providing treatment under GA. This is an excellent opportunity for career development within the Public Dental Service or those wishing to Specialise in Paediatric Dentistry.
