The NHSH Care Reserves is new initiative , created to enhance support to the care sector during a time of fragility following the pandemic and in preparation for winter pressures.   

It is likely services will experience further periods of challenge and the reserve team seeks to make available extra resources. 

The RESERVES will be made up of people working flexibly  who may or may not already have care experience.  We are looking for people who are retired, looking to return to work or already be employed.  

This is a Highland wide advert and we would welcome people in rural communities as well as the city to apply.  Any offer of support will be gratefully considered and we will look to match the RESERVES to their local communities.  

There is no minimum hours commitment and roles are varied , driving, food preparation, laundry duties, housekeeping , activities, companionship, responder or care duties.  

This is an exciting opportunity to support your community  , earn extra income and experience whilst having control over the commitment you make. 

No previous care experience is required and full training and mentoring will be provided before work commences.  Fair pay will be provided in line with NHS Scotland agenda for change.  This post is for a band 3 Care Reserve.  Hourly pay at £13.02 plus enhancements for unsocial hours, weekends & night duty.
