Clinical Nurse Specialist
Motor Neuron Disease
Band 6
We are delighted to welcome applications for the post of Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is a permanent position where the successful applicant will develop to Band 7 CNS over a 2-year period.
This is an exciting time in the specialty of Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and the successful candidate must have a genuine interest in nursing care, service development and research for this patient group.
You will cover the NHS Grampian area, mostly seeing patients and families in their own home therefore car owner/driver is essential. Hours are 37.5 per week worked flexibly over 5 days Monday-Friday. Part-time hours may be considered.
Experience with people living with MND is preferred but not essential. It would also be advantageous to have experience in palliative care or neurology settings. Multi-disciplinary team working with primary and secondary care teams is an integral and important part of this role and therefore experience is essential.
This is a busy role where priorities change very quickly in order to support patient and service need. You should be enthusiastic, forward thinking and have the ability to work under pressure.
This role offers flexible hours and hybrid working.
