The Role
- To provide a high standard of care to a wide patient group of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and clinical conditions during radiological imaging procedures which include, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and plain film examination. To assist radiology staff in producing high-quality images in all imaging modalities, ensuring the provision of high-quality, patient-centred care, and ensuring an effective and efficient flow of patients throughout the department and hospital.

Trainees will be considered for an Annex 21

For trainees covered by Annex 21 where the period of training lasts for between one and four years, pay will be as follows:
• up to 12 months prior to completion of training: 75 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate;
• more than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate of the qualified;
• more than two but less than three years prior to completion of training: 65 per cent of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
• more than three years from completion of training: 60 per cent of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
What we'll need you to bring
- SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical (incorporating modules on radiographic images) or working towards or equivalent radiography experience
- Or
- SVQ III in Healthcare Support - Clinical or working towards or equivalent experience working within a clinical healthcare environment/role.
- Or
- Postholders with no previous radiography experience will be treated in accordance with Annex 21 Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees – 75% of the maximum of the salary scale.
- The initial induction period of up to 3 months followed by a period of training and consolidation to achieve full competency across a range of specialties within 12 months.
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills; oral and written.
- Ability to plan and organise own workload.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Effective computer skills.

This role will be based in the Radiology within the University Hospital Wishaw
The working pattern for this role is Monday-Sunday
