The Post:
We are looking for dynamic, forward-thinking Staff Nurses who enjoys working as part of a team. You will contribute to the overall management and smooth running of whole blood and blood component sessions ensuring donors feel welcome, comfortable and valued. You will be required to undertake venepuncture and medical selection duties.
The Candidate:
You will require excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. An active interest in training and quality assurance would also be beneficial.
The successful candidates will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
You are registered with the NMC at the time of applying.
Location and Working Pattern:
Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. However extensive travel throughout the region is required.
Monday to Sunday, 21 hours per week. You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include Sundays and late evenings.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
