We are looking for an enthusiastic, solution focused and compassionate registered Occupational Therapist to join our growing Children’s Occupational Therapy team in Argyll and Bute.  

This is a new post within the West Team covering Oban, Mid-Argyll, Kintyre and the surrounding Islands.  

The base of the post can be flexible with the main sites being Oban and Lorn Hospital and Mid-Argyll Hospital. 
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment, discharge planning and onward referral to children and young people aged 0 – 18 years.

We aim to support children and young people in their occupational performance offering advice, assessment and therapeutic intervention in the areas of activities of daily living, hobbies & play and education & learning. e.g.  supporting children to be more independent in areas such as dressing, organising themselves, participating in PE, recording their school work.  
We can offer a rich learning experience with a varied caseload in age, complexity and presentation.  

Experience or an interest in supporting children with developmental delay, neurodevelopmental presentation and complex physical needs is highly desirable. 
We offer evidence based interventions across a large geographical area, whilst making best use of e-health, we will also require the post holder to work flexibly to meet the patients needs delivering Occupational Therapy services in the best place to meet the child and families needs, for example, in the home, in nursery, in schools and clinics.  
As a Band 5 OT, you be fully supported by senior staff and provided with learning opportunities to assist your own development and carer progression, this will include involvement in service developments, innovation and change within the wider Children’s Occupational Therapy Service.  
We have a strong commitment to MDT working, clinical governance, CPD and evidence based practice, you can expect to be fully supported through supervision, personal development and training.
