We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to work as Clinical Nurse Specialists within our team.
The service is based in Inverness and supports children & young people who experience a range of difficulties associated with their mental health. You would be part of a multidisciplinary team who offer assessment, treatment, and consultation either in the clinic base, out in the community or within the Children’s Unit or A&E department at Raigmore Hospital.
Working closely with the CAMHS Nursing Manager and Consultants these roles will ensure complex young people are offered the continuity and specialist care they require.
The post holder will promote and develop clinical excellence within the team to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of children and young people within the Highlands, through sound evidence-based approaches holding a trauma informed approach at all times.
These roles will support the delivery of high quality and safe patient-centred care, by working as a senior member of the team, both supporting and actively working with the most complex cases on the team case, in addition to supporting, supervising and offering direct line management to junior nursing staff.
There will be an expectation to carry out audits as required in order to evaluate quality of care provision and to formulate improvement plans as needed.
A working knowledge of risk assessment, safeguarding procedures, experience of working with the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, is essential.
The successful post holders will lead by example to create a supportive, compassionate and caring culture.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post.
