NHS Lothian are increasing their clinical capacity across Primary Care in support of the Scottish Government’s Achieving Excellence strategy and in fulfillment of the plans for a General Practice Clinical Pharmacy Service.

We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated, and enthusiastic technician to join our high functioning team. In addition to delivering core responsibilities, the main focus of this role will be in establishing and maintaining levels of service to GP colleagues in practice during periods of annual leave. This will require innovation and a high level of integration with colleagues to ensure success. The successful post holder will be supported by the existing team and will be required to work in every practice in the locality as well as support our established hub.

This is an ideal post for an experienced Technician to work in an innovative environment with a well-established team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop skills in various roles undertaken by the team and promote quality and cost-effective prescribing across Primary Care.

With a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
