Senior Research Nurse

Band 6, Fixed Term Contract 2 years

37.5 hours per week F/T

The Edinburgh Critical Care Research Group has an excellent reputation for research and we are currently seeking a registered nurse to join our busy Research Nurse team, to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, but also providing cover at the Western General Hospital site too. 

The successful applicant may be required to work in any of these areas and the post will involve study setup, initiation, screening, recruitment and coordination, as well as direct and indirect care of study patients and their families. 

We are looking for an NMC registered nurse with post registration experience of working in Critical Care, Theatres or Recovery or who has clinical research nursing experience. 

The post holder will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, should be self-motivated and able to use their own initiative. 

They may be required to work some unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, so will also need a flexible approach to working. 

The post is offered on a fixed term basis with the possibility of extending tenure beyond this term.
