Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, part time (8 hours per week) post based in Astley Ainsley Hospital.

Applications are invited from qualified General Practitioners with a current licence to practise, for this position in the Outpatients and Associated Services Directorate.

The successful candidates will work within a broad strategic framework monitoring, interpreting and providing a robust analysis of referrals in both Primary and Secondary care within NHS Lothian.

The post-holder will support the ongoing development of RefHelp, the NHS Lothian referral guidelines platform, and SCI Gateway. 

They will also help develop new management and clinical pathways in conjunction with Primary Care, Community and Secondary Care colleagues, and work with GP representatives, to develop alternatives to outpatient referral and advise on demand management.

Applicants will have a key role in analysing demand and capacity within services and providing feedback to referrers on the volume and quality of referrals made, identifying trends and providing education and support where necessary. This will include participation in RefTalks webinars and RefBites videos.

Applicants must be working with computer packages and be familiar with data analysis tools, SCI Gateway and TRAK.
