We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Adult Acquired Speech and Language Therapy Service.  This post offers the opportunity for the applicant to consolidate their learning and gain a range of experience working as a member of the multidisciplinary team based within the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit.

The post holder will provide specialist speech and language therapy to inpatients within the Stroke Unit in Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI) The successful candidate will provide assessment, rehabilitation and advice to patients and their families, working closely with colleagues within the multi disciplinary team. There will be some opportunities for outreach working in the community to follow up some patients. Good knowledge of aphasia therapy, the use of therapy Apps and experience in dysphagia management is required.

You will be based in PRI and join a very supportive team of experienced therapists and our SLT support worker.  We are progressive and forward thinking team, actively involved in service improvement and are looking for a dynamic clinician to join us. Professional development is supported and encouraged through training, clinical supervision and regular appraisal. Some Tayside wide working will be required to ensure equity of care. We hold regular service meetings with SLTs from across Tayside as well as local team meetings and condition specific network meetings.

Within Tayside we actively support the NMAHP Developmental Framework both locally and within the AHP Directorate working closely with our AHP colleagues.
