CLINICAL LEAD FOR COMMUNITY PEADIATRCS
RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS
1PA PER WEEK
2 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Expressions of interest are invited from existing Consultants in Children’s Services based on the Raigmore Hospital site to be appointed to the role of Clinical Lead.
The role of the post is to collaborate with the Service Manager and Service Clinical Director to ensure operational delivery of departmental services. This will include convening and chairing departmental meetings, managing rotas, co-ordinating annual leave and study leave, staff induction for clinical colleagues, protocol and guideline development, assisting in responding to complaints and leading the department for quality and patient safety.
You will act as a focal point of communication both internally and externally, representing the views and interests of the department’s views within Raigmore and within the Board Committee structure and assist the Service Lead and Service Manager in the co-ordination of job-planning for medical staff within the department.
Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria of knowledge, training and experience required to do the job.
- Current practice as a medically qualified consultant for the Paediatric Department within NHS Highland within a department of Raigmore Hospital
- Information management and IT literacy
- Willingness and ability to manage conflict resolution
- Value and support for continuous learning and development
- Understanding of or formal training in improvement methodologies as used in the Highland Quality Approach
