We are looking to recruit a caring individual as a Healthcare Support Worker. Experience is desirable.
Ward 5 is a busy 24 bedded surgical ward with 18 surgical beds and 6 medical beds. Patients are admitted to the ward with various surgical conditions such as Pancreatitis, Appendicitis and can have varying levels of care required and may require assistance with personal care and nutritional intake.
Applicants would be required to keep various charts such as Fluid Balance Charts up-to date and advise the staff nurses of any changes that they may notice with the patient. Applicants will have the opportunity to develop skills such as venepuncture or become link nurses to support staff nurses with raising awareness of promoting such things as continence and effective management.
