What you will do:

Joining our innovative and skilled team of multi-disciplinary practitioners, working within mental health services, you will have a clinical remit to pan Ayrshire acute mental health in-patient wards and to the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit (IPCU). You will utilise occupational therapy core skills and training to provide assessment and person-centred interventions to support in-patient stay, community engagement and discharge.

Working with colleagues to deliver interventions that support local and national drivers in improving patient and carer experience, you will participate in the ongoing development of innovative models of care, utilising evidence based practice and strengths based approaches within teams.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

With a Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy and as a State Registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC, you will be an experienced practitioner and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Occupational Therapy, through CPD Post Graduate training, with evidence of additional knowledge and experience. 


You will have a varied range of clinical experience and the ability to demonstrate good clinical reasoning and effective caseload management with experience of and evidence of commitment to multidisciplinary team working.
