Job Advert
There is no doubt these are challenging times in health and social care. However, this also creates opportunity as we focus on transforming our approaches to health and care in order to ensure sustainability for future generations. We know that change is hard but it is also not just necessary, but essential. An important element of NHS Grampian’s response to these pressures and opportunities, as outlined in our Plan for the Future, is ensuring a focus on development of our culture as well as the wellbeing and growth of our colleagues. Are you who we need to help us drive this commitment with impact, in our system and with our partners?
Following an ongoing process of redesign, we are creating a new department that will provide a focus on the Wellbeing, Culture and Development of our organisation and our colleagues. This department is seeking to create further added value by integrating a variety of elements of work in service of system change and improvement: the well-established teams of Organisational Development, Staff Experience and Learning and Development, as well as the more recent emerging functions relating to organisational culture and colleague wellbeing known as Culture Matters and We Care respectively.
As part of the process of integrating these functions, two outstanding leadership opportunities are now available for suitably experienced colleagues. Both roles will be responsible for a team of development practitioners leading on their respective functions within the new department.
Do you have passion, ideas and experience in the field of culture and staff experience? Or maybe you have experience, drive and knowledge in how to influence and improve staff wellbeing. Perhaps you have skills, knowledge and networks in the more established area of growth (e.g. learning, development, appraisal, and investing in skills of our people)? Do you have what it takes to lead and influence how we continue NHS Grampian’s commitment to attend to our culture, the experience of our colleagues and/or the wellbeing of our colleagues and their development?
If the answer is ‘yes’, then this could be just the opportunity for you, and we would love to hear from you. Please contact Jason Nicol, Head of Wellbeing, Culture and Development if you would like to find out more or have any questions at 07876 258 724 or jason.nicol@nhs.scot.
This opportunity would suit a dynamic, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic qualified professional at a time when there is significant opportunity to design our approaches to culture and experience; or wellbeing and growth in line with emerging evidence-based approaches in a modern health and social care system.
Interviews are provisionally planned for W/C 15 January 2024
