We are seeking a professionally confident Allied Health Professional who, as a key member of the Acute services leadership team will work alongside the existing site based triumvirate of Chief Nurse, Associate Medical Director and Site Director in providing strong and visible clinical leadership within our acute hospitals.

As Chief AHP for Acute Services, you will be pivotal in shaping the acute AHP workforce to deliver clinical service and transformational change across acute services in line with our vision and values.

Significant experience of operating effectively in a Senior AHP management or leadership role, and evidence of leadership beyond your own profession is essential, as is a track record of delivering on quality improvements.  You will be able to evidence highly developed interpersonal skills and effective communication and influencing skills.  Clinically credible, you will have a sound understanding of the current strategic landscape and contemporary issues and opportunities for Allied health, and acute services.

Working closely with the Director of AHPs and AHP Senior Managers as part of the wider AHP senior leadership team you will have access to regular supervision and professional support.  There will be opportunity to lead on Ayrshire wide AHP portfolio work on behalf of the AHP Director.

You will be educated to Masters level or equivalent, with a qualification in one of the Allied Health Profession disciplines, and have current registration with HCPC.
