An exciting opportunity has become available  for 3 Lead Nurse positions within the Nursing Directorate. The post holders will support the Nursing Directorate to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership across all organisational nursing families, ensuring that our quality ambitions of safe, effective, person centred care across all aspects of the Executive Nurse Directors portfolio are in place.

The Lead Nurse will provide expert professional advice and leadership relating to a specific programme of work within the nursing directorate, the three portfolio areas are:

  • Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act,
  • Excellence in Care/ Care Assurance
  • Professional Nursing Leadership, Regulation, Policy and Transformation.

Additionally the Lead Nurse will support a range of projects and initiatives as it relates to the Executive Nurse Directors portfolio, supporting the Directorate to embed a culture of continuous quality improvement aligned to existing and emerging policy, strategy, guidance and frameworks.

The post-holder, will be a credible, innovate, compassionate leader with a track record in supporting nursing teams to ensure best possible care experiences and outcomes for the people we serve in all areas across the board.

The hours are worked Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
