We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a background in medical technology or physics to work as part of a team delivering a Nuclear Medicine imaging service. The work, which is patient focussed, includes routine performance and quality control of diagnostic nuclear medicine studies; processing and management of acquired data; acting as an operator under IRMER and patient cannulation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Applicants should have a degree in Medical Technology, a degree in Physical Science or BSc in Diagnostic Radiology (or other appropriate discipline) or equivalent. (HNC /ONC with suitable experience will be considered). Registration on the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) is desirable. (If not the post-holder will follow a training plan and is expected to achieve the award of DipIPEM (T) and including some academic postgraduate modules within the 2.5 years) Applicants should also have some experience in a health care environment along with experience in planning, investigating and performing technical projects.
