This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
NHS Lothian requires an enthusiastic Mental Health Support Worker to work with the East Lothian Community Mental Health Team. This is an innovative and dynamic service that delivers mental health care across the county and the post would suit someone with mental health experience that wants to develop their skills in the community.
We would be particularly interested in supporting the right candidate to continue their development, especially if considering training to become a registered mental health nurse.
East Lothian is a large, mainly rural area so a driving license is essential. The post holder will have access to our hospital cars.
Our service operates within East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington and MPCC, Musselburgh working flexibility between these sites.
