DENTAL PRACTICE ADVISER


Part Time:     7 hours (2 sessions) per week

Salary:           British Dental Guild Rate - £374 per session

A vacancy has arisen for a Dental Practice Adviser, based in Primary Care Contractor Services, NHS Forth Valley, Carseview House, Castle Business Park, Stirling.


We require a motivated individual, who will contribute and promote the improvement of the overall quality of care in general dental practice in Forth Valley; act in a supportive and advisory capacity (including clinical advice) to Forth Valley general dental practitioners and Dental Practice Inspectors: advise the Health Board on matters relating to general dental services and work in close liaison with other professional staff. 


The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in general dental practice and maintain active participation in the provision of NHS general dental services in general practice. Registration with the General Dental Council and membership of a defence organisation must also be maintained.


A good working knowledge of the NHS General Dental Services regulations and a detailed understanding of the Statement of Dental Remuneration are essential. An up to date knowledge and awareness of legislation affecting dentistry is also required with no evidence of ‘conflicts of interest’ roles or poor quality from Dental Reference Officer (DRO) examinations.


The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision and to work as part of a team; have excellent organisational and communication skills; have a broad understanding of clinical governance and exercise a high degree of confidentiality. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of Forth Valley is essential for this postWe are happy to offer flexible and hybrid working options to the successful candidate.
