An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Clinical Photographer with a range of clinical experience and a positive outlook to join the team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. You will contribute to the provision of a professional clinical and ophthalmic photography service to support the delivery of high quality patient care in a safe and secure environment.
You will have a recognized degree-level clinical photography qualification, be on the national AHCS register, and have full membership of a professional body. Experience in ophthalmic photography is desirable.
The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (5 days over 7, 365 days per year incl. PHs; requires 7.5 hrs and 12 hr shift working). This post is peripatetic therefore a full driving license and own transport is essential. You will be required to provide a weekly cross-cover photography service from any NHSGGC base according to the clinical needs of the service.
A trainee position may be available for suitable candidates with an appropriate degree in photography. Trainees will be expected to undertake a one-year, distance learning, post-graduate certificate in clinical photography in order to qualify and register with the AHCS. If the post is offered on this basis, then the appointment will be on a two-year fixed term contract, on an Annex 21 Band 5.
