An exciting opportunity exists within Children’s Care group for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to undertake a permanent role. 

This successful candidate will take on the Advisor role for universal and targeted approaches across Forth Valley but will initially be based within the Falkirk team.   The person will take a lead role to support the wider team across Forth Valley to implement the Universal and Targeted aspects of the transformational service delivery model that has been designed in partnership with families, education and health colleagues. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading on innovation and design of these approaches in order to drive forward our whole systems approach to improving outcomes for children and young people.

The successful Therapist will have substantial experience of working in children’s services plus

  • a high level of experience and skill in delivering whole establishment approaches
  • the ability to influence a wide group of people and affect behaviour change
  • significant experience and skill in supporting and developing other Speech and Language Therapy staff
  • solid understanding and experience of collaborating within an Education context
  • Effective and compassionate leadership skills
  • Highly developed quality improvement skills
