Band 2 Ward Receptionist
Stroke Rehab Unit East
An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide comprehensive reception and administrative support to the multi-disciplinary staff and patients within the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, Grampian Specialist Rehabilitation Centre, Woodend Hospital.
The receptionist is required to provide a warm welcome to patients and the public and an effective administrative support to the team.
The post is a full time post, and will be based within Stroke Rehabilitation Unit East. It is expected that this post will also support and work collaboratively with colleagues in Stroke Rehabilitation Unit West.
The receptionist will also provide a service whereby they will book patients in, answer phone calls, deal with any queries, distribute mail, report any faults in the buildings communal areas.
We are looking for a motivated, friendly person who will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and be a cohesive member of the team.
Ideally you will have a good general education, an excellent telephone manner with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work using your own initiative and prioritise workload is essential. Knowledge and experience in a medical environment and of medical terminology is desirable but not essential. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.
