Title: Registered Nurse

Salary : Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 5 £30,229 - £37,664 per hour plus enhancements depending on candidate experience.

Hours/Contract: Part Time 34.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Based : Edinburgh Hospice

As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting.

You will work with the team, using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC’s and the Charity’s policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

What we are looking for:

  • RGN level 1 registration
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life
  • Forward thinking with excellent communication skills
