Come and join our Physiotherapy team in the Western General Hospital in one of the most visited cities in the world – Edinburgh!

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, proactive physiotherapist to join our Outpatient MSK team in Western General Hospital. The Physiotherapy team is embedded within the main Physiotherapy department.  You will clinically lead and develop the MSK Physiotherapy Service in conjunction with the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Clinical Specialist and Rheumatology Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist.  Caseload will include patients referred from Secondary and Primary Care and will include MSK, Hands and Rheumatology.

Candidates must display evidence of extensive clinical experience within MSK. Ability to prioritise, assess and treat a wide range of presentations is key, as is clarity of communication and well-demonstrated organisational skills. Experience of supervision, mentorship and appraisal of other staff members / students is expected, as is evidence of multi disciplinary working.  A background in service development with knowledge of QI methodology is required

This exciting post will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a band 7 Team Lead physiotherapist and gain or add to expertise in the area MSK, Rheumatology, post operative orthopaedic hand,  rehabilitation and hydrotherapy.

This post will contribute to the weekend orthopaedic service at the Royal Infirmary and operate a 5/7 way of working.

Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision and CPD opportunities.
