The Front Door Team are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join them on a permanent basis. This post involves working as a specialist Occupational Therapist within an inter-disciplinary Front Door service at Glasgow Royal Infirmary providing a comprehensive assessment to support hospital admission avoidance. You will act as a skilled occupational therapist delivering a high quality and equitable service within a fast paced acute setting. You will contribute to the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients who present at ED and the Acute assessment units. You will work with patients who present with multiple pathologies including Dementia, Movement Disorder, Brain injury, Frailty and Falls. Patients can also present with complex social needs. The team are currently involved in a project developing a frailty pathway in conjunction the multi-disciplinary team and Health Improvement Scotland. The vacant post is based within the North Sector which covers Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Lightburn Hospital and Stobhill Hospital. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from our experienced specialist AHP team. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist, with at approximately 3 years’ experience. We require the candidate to have a special interest in a fast paced working environment, excellent core occupational therapy skills, excellent communication skills and an aptitude to learn and develop. It is essential that you have a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
