Specialist Community Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist
30 hours Band 6
An experienced Speech and Language Therapist is required for this post based within West Dunbartonshire.
You will provide a Speech & Language Therapy Service to children with communication difficulties within the community team. The caseload will include children with complex additional support needs e.g. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Language Disorder. The service will be provided in a variety of settings including pre-5, mainstream, ASN education establishments and clinics.
The team offers friendly and supportive colleagues, a well-developed peer support, reflective practice structure and regular professional development opportunities.
Appropriate Ordinary/Honours Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Certificate to Practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as awarded by the RCSLT.
Registration with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Specialist Speech & Language Therapist able to evidence post graduate experience of working with a complex paediatric caseload are all essential.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and Car driver essential.
Understanding and awareness of national and local policies and procedures relevant to health, social services and education are desirable.
