The Post:

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) is the specialist provider of transfusion medicine in Scotland supplying high quality blood, tissues, products and services.  SNBTS is a directorate of NHS National Services Scotland and works with communities, hospitals and professionals to ensure that the donor’s gift is used widely and effectively for the benefit of patients.  This post is within our Supply Chain Analytics team. The team is focused on exploiting the organisation’s information assets in support of strategic and operational business planning and performance management.  The team provides an important business support function within the Strategy and Business Development Department.

The Candidate:

 As a SNBTS Senior Information Analyst you will:
• Analyse and link data to improve the delivery of blood components, tissues, products and services
• Use a wide range of data sources and powerful analytics tools to provide understanding and insight
• To develop information resources and tools to support operational and strategic decision making

This is an excellent chance to use and grow your skills and experience in:
• Sourcing, analysing and interpreting complex data and communicating insights
• Integrating predictive analytics and analytical decision tools into information resources
• Presenting complex data effectively through the use of data visualisation techniques

Location and Working Pattern:

The successful candidate will have various options associated with hybrid working in the Jack Copland Centre, the SNBTS national headquarters at Heriot-Watt University Research Park.

The Jack Copland Centre also provides a modern facility for the processing, testing, supply, research and development of blood and human donor tissues and cells.

The standard work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
