An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of A Health Care Support worker within the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children. The post will incorporate days/nights/weekends/public holidays. The shift pattern for this post is 11.25 hours rotational days and nights across 7 days. The Neonatal unit is a busy 50 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. The ability to organize and priorities workload are essential. As a Health Care Support Worker you are a hugely valuable support to our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients. Everyday you’ll be working in close contact with patients and Families carrying out a wide range of tasks As a Health Care Support worker, you will ensure a high standard of cleanliness following infection control policy and guidelines. As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will maintain stock supplies in the department and ensure the units cleanliness is maintained to a high standard. The post holder may be required to provide care to patients in support of the trained nurse and will work in assigned areas, be kind, caring, professional and reliable.
