An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist Occupational Therapist registered with HCPC, to work within Royal Cornhill Hospital for adults with Learning Disabilities and complex health needs. This opportunity will provide specialist experience in two different clinical wards. Strathbeg Ward is an all-male forensic unit and Loirston Ward is an acute mixed gender admissions ward. The Shetland OT Team is made up of Occupational Therapists and Healthcare Support Workers based in the Recovery Resource Centre, RCH. The applicant would work closely and jointly with Nursing colleagues and other members of the Mutli-Disciplinary Team to support the recovery and discharge process.
The applicant must be competent delivering assessment and treatment based on the OT process. We are looking for an innovative creative thinker that is willing to initiate change and create dynamic future services. There is scope for personal and service development within a small supportive established team. Regular supervision and support will be provided, the opportunity to self-develop through the use of the internal appraisal system as well as access to internal and external training and other opportunities as identified. At interview applicants will be asked to produce their Portfolio of evidence to support their application. There is exciting team building opportunities.
