CLAN Complementary Therapist

18 hrs p/w - 3 days p/w - (Temporary post till October 2025)


Salary SAH Band 4 (£25,425 - £28,337 pro rata)

Compassionate Lanarkshire (CLAN) is a partnership project between St Andrew’s, Kilbryde and Strathcarron Hospices which aims to support vulnerable and isolated individuals and Carers in Lanarkshire affected by a life-limiting disease including; cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease and progressive neurological conditions.


CLAN services offers emotional, therapeutic, and practical support to help individuals and families identify, value, and build on their strengths to achieve the best possible quality of life. As Part of our CLAN team as a complementary therapist you will work with clients and carers in their own homes or remotely depending on their preference. The therapist is required to have previous experience in a role working with patients and or carers in their career, be qualified for a minimum of 2 years in aromatherapy massage, reflexology, gentle touch massage and or reiki in addition they must be registered with a relevant professional body- FHT, CNHC. The role requires the additional skill of driving with utilising their own vehicle and being covered by business insurance, all mileage is in a remuneration basis in line with travel expenses occurred.


The role will be based in St Andrew’s Hospice and involve travel between clients’ homes, transporting the necessary equipment to provide Complementary Therapy and will be as a lone worker. The Clan Co-ordinator evaluates clients’ suitability for inclusion in the service.
