An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Adult Acute Dietetic Oncology Team for a Band 7 Advanced Practice/Lead Dietitian to support the delivery of patient care to a highly vulnerable and complex patient group and responsibility for the dietetic clinical and operational lll      eadership of the Adult Acute Oncology Team.

The post holder as an advanced dietetic practitioner will lead in planning, organising and delivering an evidence based dietetic service to patients, senior medical, nursing and AHPs within this area of responsibility.  The Key Principles of Cancer Strategy for  Scotland (2023-2033) will influence the work of the team. The post holder will have a responsibility to lead this area of work through leadership, demonstrating an ability to employ investigative practice to evaluate clinical and operational elements of service provision.  Where appropriate work within uni / multi-disciplinary teams and Managed Clinical Networks to inform service developments.  Deliver care in accordance with Service Standards, National Professional Standards of Practice and the Health Care Professions Council Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.

Applicants must have a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration. You should be able to evidence experience working to masters’ level providing complex nutrition support within oncology specialties. In addition you will require to demonstrate leadership with investigative research, audit and project management skills to provide evidence based practice in this highly specialist area of practice.
