We are delighted to offer this part-time 12 month fixed-term/secondment opportunity to join the outpatient Eating Disorder Service in the role of Nurse Therapist within our multi-disciplinary team.
The post holder will primarily provide Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) to adult patients’ aged 18-65 years with moderate to severe psychological distress and complex co-morbidity referred to the Eating Disorders Service a tier 4 psychological therapies service. Duties include diagnostic triage, psychological assessment/formulation and treatment interventions delivered in both individual sessional formats and co-facilitated within our group programme.
The post holder will develop their own clinical experience but will have dedicated CPD and peer supervision time.
The post holder will develop and maintain professional standards within the code of professional conduct of the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) and accreditation with the BABCP is desirable. Willingness to enhance specialist knowledge through further psychological training in other modalities to meet service need will be supported.
