Has your NMC Registration lapsed? Do you wish to return to Nursing or Midwifery after a career break?
NHS Grampian and Robert Gordon University are working jointly to welcome nurses and midwives whose registration has lapsed to return to practice by providing a short course which is fully funded when candidates successfully join this collaborative employment model. The course will prepare nurses and midwives for re-joining the NMC register and enable them to return to their field of practice in a safe and confident manner.
For nurses and midwives this is a unique opportunity where individuals can undertake this course which will be delivered by a 7 week theory block that will be utilised to prepare you for placement and for academic study. The theory will mostly be provided in an online format with some face to face skills sessions. Clinical placement will be arranged in a relevant area of your field of practice depending on vacancies within NHS Grampian.
Practice hours can be completed via a full or part time route and you will be fully supported both in university and in practice areas.
You will be paid at band 2 during all of your theory, placement and band 4 whilst you wait for your NMC registration. On successful completion of the course and re-joining the NMC register then employment in a band 5 role with NHS Grampian is guaranteed.
