Lothian Older People's Psychology Service (LOPPS) provides a highly specialist clinical psychology service across the NHS Lothian area to adults aged 65 and over. The West Lothian Psychological Approach Team (WeLPAT) is a psychology led service for people with advanced dementia in care homes across West Lothian HSCP. The WeLPAT Assistant Psychologist will hold a small caseload of individual cases requiring intensive support, and intervention, for distressed behaviour. This post primarily assists members of WeLPAT, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, in both direct care and intervention and the co-ordination of both the training programme and the large scale service evaluation (including administration and scoring of structured clinical measures and training evaluations, data analysis and reporting).
