We are currently looking to recruit a Specialist GP to cover the inpatients in a Dementia Assessment ward at Fraserburgh Hospital.   We would welcome applications from a GP with a special interest in providing high quality GP input for the patients within the ward.

Come and join our relaxed and friendly team in Fraserburgh which is a rural town set within the splendour of the Aberdeenshire countryside.

This exciting opportunity has arisen to work as Specialist GP to provide GP input to a Dementia Assessment unit.  Brucklay ward is a 12 bedded inpatient unit within Fraserburgh Hospital. The unit provides inpatient dementia assessment for the population of North Aberdeenshire ranging from Portsoy to Cruden Bay and inward as far as Turriff.

There is excellent clinical support with a team of multi-disciplinary professionals including the ward staff, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Lead and Location Manager. 

This post is 7 hours weekly which includes a weekly ward round in person, assessment and review of admissions to the ward with acute medical conditions and the review and ongoing medical care of the inpatients on the ward.
