Long Covid Practitioners – Band 7 (up to 1.5wte available)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Grampian Long Covid team for dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative clinicians looking for a new challenge. The Long Covid team will support patients experiencing on-going symptoms of Post Covid Syndrome (known as Long Covid) across the NHS Grampian area, as well as supporting professionals across the health and social care system to manage patients experiencing symptoms related to Long Covid.
This is a new service having recently launched our pathway, which will be continually developed.
We encourage applications from a range of clinical professionals (e.g. Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychology professionals, Nursing) to create a team with a range of complementing skills which encourages development of the whole team and enables the enhanced support provided to patients.
The post holder will draw on their leadership and influencing skills to complement their extensive clinical expertise to provide a holistic assessment of Long Covid patients. They will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support the rehabilitation for Long Covid patients.
The successful applicant(s) will be part of a wider team providing holistic assessment of complex adult patients referred to the service, developing individualised plans and supporting coordination f patient’s care across the system. They will also support the future development of the Service providing professional advice and expertise drawn from their previous experiences to enhance the overall quality of care across the Service. You will also be required to ensure delivery of high-quality patient centred care measured by clinical effectiveness, patient safety and patient experience as well as ensuring clinical records are accurate and maintained in a timely way. The post holder will be flexible to support patient appointments by telephone, virtual and face to face clinics whilst maintaining the same standard of high-quality care in each setting.
