To perform pharmacy technician duties to support the safe and effective supply of medicines and assist in the operational arrangement of the relevant pharmacy section, may deputise for the section lead as required within competency.

Salary Scale: £27, 598 - £30, 019

West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician, to take forward key prescribing initiatives within NHS Lothian GP practices. Working with the Primary Care Pharmacy team, GPs, other healthcare professionals and practice staff, this job will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity to optimise prescribing and medicines management in GP practices across West Lothian.
With a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and current registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, you will possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience of working with GPs would be an advantage.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
If part-time - the salary will be pro-rata.
