This is a fixed term position of 12 months.

Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde remit you will be a highly motivated individual leading the operational and strategic development of inequality sensitive approaches in relation to learning disabilities within NHSGGC’s screening programmes.

Based within the Public Health Directorate, you will work closely with Public Health screening leads, learning disability clinicians and service managers, learning disabilities organisations and service user groups, to co-produce service improvement activities to support informed participation in screening for individuals with a learning disability.

The post holder will also facilitate coordination of learning disability awareness training among core screening service staff groups, and develop a programme of work to increase screening programme awareness among learning disability specialist staff responsible for delivering Annual Learning Disability Health Checks.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have demonstrable experience of working at a senior level within the NHS, Social Care or Voluntary Sector, including experience of planning and implementing programmes or activities. You will have a track record in multi-agency partnership working, and have a demonstrable knowledge and experience of health policy and practice, specifically in relation to learning disabilities. You will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, negotiating and influencing skills. A relevant post-graduate qualification would be beneficial.
