The shift pattern for this position is 12 hour days and nights.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join our surgical team here at QEUH.

You will be working alongside our nursing team providing essential care to our patients with General surgical conditions in one of our 28 bedded wards. You will provide care and meet the needs of a wide variety of patients within your remit.

This may include complex care needs including pre and post-operative care and early rehabilitation to meat goals in enhanced recovery

A fundamental part of the role is to communicate with the Multidisciplinary team in enhancing the patient journey.

You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse and the registered nurses but should be able to work on your own merit supervised by the wider nursing team.
Experience in health or social care would be beneficial.

You will be working a fully rotational shift pattern of 12 hour days and nights.
This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland’s PVG scheme.
