General Practitioner Vacancy

Salaried GP or Partner (if preferred) offering 6-8 sessions per week from April 2024

Who we are

We are a progressive and innovative training practice with c7,400 patients. Our dynamic, multi- disciplinary team consists of 5 Partners, ANPs, Practice Nurses, Administrators and Managers all of whom are passionate about working collaboratively to deliver a high standard of patient care. We have a lower than average patient list per GP and value the wellbeing of all our staff; encouraging a healthy work/life balance as well as creating an ethos of values-based team working is integral to how we work. Our interests and focus is in education and professional development with opportunity for formal or informal mentorship. We are forward-thinking in response to the changing landscape of primary healthcare being early adopters of a fully ANP-led duty service.

Where we work

We are based in a purpose built Health Centre in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The area is surrounded by beautiful scenery whilst providing excellent facilities for a variety of outdoor pursuits; walking, mountain biking, watersports, wild swimming to name but a few! Edinburgh is within easy reach by train from Tweedbank which is only a few miles away. Newcastle and Carlisle are also only a short drive. The neighbouring town of Melrose, famous for Rugby Sevens, along with Galashiels and Kelso, are fascinating areas to be explored for those who love history.

About you

If you share our passion and motivation to provide outstanding care for the patients within our catchment area; If you are a participative and enthusiastic team player with a flair for innovation and creativity; If you are curious about us and the work that we do then we would love to hear from you!
