PM167702 Rotational Midwife

An exciting opportunity has arisen for rotational midwives to be involved in the perioperative care of mums and babies, within the theatre environment in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.  

We are seeking highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will provide safe, effective and person-centered care, who will be focused on ensuring that the midwifery role within theatre remains supportive and dynamic, advocating for families, so any birth preferences are discussed and respected.

The post holders will be required to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day week.  There will currently be no expectation within the scope of the role of working nightshift. We are looking for 4 full-time posts or the part-time equivalent.  This post remains under the job description of a rotational midwife as there will be at times the need for the post holder to support and work in other areas of the maternity hospital.  A flexible working disposition will be required to ensure success within this team.

This rotational post will fall under the managerial structure of the theatre team but will remain professionally accountability to midwifery.
