An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced community mental health nurse to work within our newly developing Perinatal Mental Health Service within the beautiful rural location of Argyll and Bute.
Candidates should have clinical expertise in mental health nursing attained through relevant experience and knowledge of current interventions. As a Registered Mental health Nurse you will be active in:
- providing high quality nursing care
- carrying out mental health assessments
- working with families at time of vulnerability to provide person-centred recovery focused interventions and nursing therapies within a multidisciplinary team.
You should be able to work in a creative way to provide care to people who use mental health services and have an understanding of the current policies and practices influencing mental health nursing. Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
The candidate must have experience of working in a community mental health setting and previous experience of working with perinatal mental health is desirable.
The post covers Argyll and Bute therefore a full current driving licence is essential for this position. The successful candidate should expect support from the Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Perinatal Mental Health, colleagues in North Highland Perinatal Mental health services and close links with the regional model of support offered from Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
