Inverclyde HSCP’s Health Improvement Team are recruiting 1 WTE (Whole Time Equivalent) permanent Band 6 Health Improvement Senior. The post holder will have responsibility for a broad portfolio of health improvement and health inequalities work in line with Inverclyde HSCP Strategic Plan 2023-2026, NHSGG&C and Scottish Government’s Public Health priorities and local health needs. They will have responsibility for the development and delivery of a variety of work streams, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure delivery. The post holder will be required to act in an advisory capacity to provide specialist health improvement support to colleagues and partners, providing work stream management and possibly staff management. The post holder will be responsible for establishing and sustaining links internally and externally across Inverclyde’s community planning partners and with key external partners/clients/communities to promote health improvement and address inequalities in health. Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent and have at least three years' experience of working in health improvement, public health, or a relevant health/health improvement arena with experience from a wide range of NHS, Local authority and Third Sector settings welcome. Applicants are expected to demonstrate skills in line with the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework (2016).  The team works in a flexible way with arrangements for working from home currently in place alongside travelling locally to attend meetings and events as required by the programme   The health improvement team is enthusiastic with a strong focus on individual and team learning and development with skills across the Health and Community Care service in a well-established fully integrated health and social care partnership.
