Workforce Data and Digital Analyst

As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank, South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen. This post will be based in our Lumina Regional Centre. NHS 24 also supports Hybrid Working.
The Role…..
The post holder will play a key role in maintaining and developing the reporting tools and workforce data warehouse which is used to collect, store, and publish workforce data toenabletheproductionofinternalandexternalreports.
You will support the Workforce Digital Transformation Lead in the utilisation and development of software which will enhance data retrieval, transformation, analysis, and interpretation to support the ongoing enhancement of people analytics and insight driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key role in ensuring the data held across workforce systems remain accurate by implementing and overseeing a national quality control system
- Work with technology providers ensuring all workforce systems are operating without issue
- To ensure all workforce information is robust, accurate and accessible to users and to support the on-going development of the NHS 24 workforce reporting suite
- Responsible for the design, development and implementation of reports, dashboards, and workforce KPI’s for key stakeholders in line with identified requirements
- Work closely with NHS 24 managers, the wider Workforce Directorate, and other key stakeholders to fully understand and deliver their reporting requirements
- Support the Workforce Digital Transformation Lead to shape the Workforce Directorates data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms
- Analyse key workforce trends to determine projections based around current and future workforce needs
- Provide Workforce Information reports and papers for the Executive Management Team and Senior Management, providing complex workforce information and analysis of it
- Standardise and automate workforce processes to improve efficiencies and give our teams more capacity to progress activities that enhance the employee experience
- Support the Workforce Digital Transformation Lead in exploring how to best utilise technology and digital solutions to deliver a great HR service to the workforce, including electronic forms, workflows and integrations
- Implementing quality control systems, processes, and schedule of improvements to ensure that all digital and reporting solutions are fit for purpose.
Successful applicant:
- Relevant experience in people analytics e.g., in the provision, analysis and presentation of management information including designing workforce reports/dashboards/SharePoint sites
- Proven ability to identify and investigate data trends and anomalies, drawing on cross-functional expertise where required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent IT skills, allowing sound knowledge in the prioritisation of potential rollout of new technological advances, and judgement in the recommendation of proposed avenues of approach to those advances
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to deliver on time
- Strong knowledge and skills in management information packages, databases and spreadsheets with evidence of expertise in interpreting, analysing and presenting data
