Post: clinical DEVELOPMENT fellow in oncology
base: beatson west of cancer centre
An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of 3 Clinical Development Fellows starting from April 2023 for 12 months (negotiable). The programme provides training in all aspects of Oncology. The Beatson WoS Cancer Centre treats approximately 8,500 new patients across the entire spectrum of malignant disease. There is close liaison with other medical and specialist surgical teams. The Beatson acquired new purpose build premises which now houses one of the largest and most comprehensively equipped cancer hospitals in addition, a Radiotherapy Satellite, The Lanarkshire Beatson opened in November 2015 equipped with two linear accelerators, bringing the total complement to 13 across both locations.
It is desirable that candidates possess MRCP (UK/I) or equivalent by commencement of post. Experience in Oncology or Palliative Medicine would also be advantageous. Career prospects are excellent in this expanding specialty.
