NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
This is an excellent development opportunity. It is a unique post that requires an eye for data alongside a strong clinical and therapeutics understanding. You will work with pharmacy, medical, managerial and finance colleagues on medicines planning work as well as other proactive Medicines Information resources such as the Therapeutics Handbook, Medicines Update Blogs, GGC Formulary and Clinical Effectiveness work. .
It will provide the opportunity to work with a variety of staff and in a variety of different clinical areas and to attend and contribute to meetings looking at cost and clinical effectiveness of medicines. You should have an interest in new medicines and medicines usage. You will work as part of a highly respected Medicines Information and Governance Team, with support from them and others in this role. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills and gain experience on a broad range of governance activities.
This role includes Education and Training of Foundation Pharmacist and potentially include a clinical component.
This would be suitable for a secondment opportunity but please ensure you have the support of your line manager before applying.
