CLINICAL TEACHING FELLOW IN ORAL SURGERY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Dental Surgeons, eligible for registration with the General Dental Council, for the role of Clinical Teaching Fellow in Oral Surgery at Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry for three days a week (0.6 FTE).
You will be employed with the University of Aberdeen and an honorary contract will be sought with NHS Grampian.
The initial focus of the role will be the provision of clinical supervision to our undergraduate BDS students within our oral surgery clinics and delivery of oral surgery teaching within the BDS curriculum. The role holder will be supported by experienced academic, clinical and professional services support colleagues within the Institute, NHS Grampian and the wider University.
You will be an enthusiastic clinician who will ideally have some experience in delivering both clinical and didactic teaching as well as supervision of student clinics, or an early career colleague within a dental school or vocational training environment.
The post holder will have the opportunity to engage in career development activities as part of their weekly timetable, including enrolling on postgraduate programmes at the University of Aberdeen.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Clinical scale for Academics below level of Consultant, £43,504 - £71,216 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
